The continental crust separates us from the Earth’s Mantle by 32 miles. If you were to travel 50 miles into the sky you’d be considered an astronaut. Somewhere in between lies the thin line of habitability where we spend our days focusing on immediate concerns like age, weight loss, bank accounts, gas prices, vacations and television shows.
